    room rate, location

the room was quite old, small, and looked a bit dirty. somebody sat in front of my room to smoke and surf the internet from afternoon until late night, so I felt not so safe.

Unlike what the website claims it is at least a 2 mile walk from Ann Arbor downtown and the city buses are not frequent enough to be convenient. Not a place to pick if you weren't driving.

Good location for my visit to the University of Michigan in Anna Arbor. In general, it is fair for the value to pay. Serving staff is friendly.

The carpet in the room is a bit dirty and sticky. I am not comfortable with the window from ceiling to floor exposing to the corridor despite there is a curtain.

    Fabulous

Inn is in a very good location. Management is great. The rooms are a little old and decoration is very old, but the rooms are clean. Can't find a hotel in this price range anywhere nearby.

  • 8.2
    Fabulous

    Inexpensive, close to downtown, quiet.

The hotel (as far as my room) needs renovation. However, then it is not going to be a budget hotel.

    Very good

Accesible, fair service, helpfullness of staff

    bathroom heating was poor

  • 7.4
    Very good

Close to everything we wanted to be within. Price was low.

    Needs renovation. Pretty dated.

  • 6.6
    Good

Extremely close and convenient to central u of Michigan campus

Shabby decor, very obsolete bathroom facilities with cheap low-budget soap/shampoo etc, and awful lumpy too-small pilows. Very over-priced for facility qualities. Clearly paying for location rather than amenities.

    Good

It is a sympatical place, the owner keeps it very clean and Trader Joe's is just behind to allow you some nice piquenique.

The rooms could be renovated to make it even more attractive

    Good

Easy, clean, cheap - an ok place if you don´t have high expectations

  • 8.2
    Fabulous

Cheap and nice Motel, with big rooms and a near busconnetion

    Very good

Lovely, lovely staff—friendly and helpful, both to me and to my visitor who came to pick me up at the hotel. Room had the mother of all heating units, which was good, as temps plunged below freezing the night I arrived and the blanket situation was thin, to say the least. Free wifi (not great, but serviceable) and an excellent microwave.

For the price, you'd expect things to be a little bit—shall we say "worn"?—which they most definitely were. The vertical blind was broken and didn't close all the way—not the best for privacy or light. Bring slippers (for *all* budget travel), b/c you don't want to walk on those carpets. And don't look closely in the corners, lest you see the dirt and cobwebs left during an otherwise-diligent cleanup. But hey: budget travel!

  • 6.6
    Good

Price, continental breakfast, ease of dealing with staff

Peeling paint, very small soap bars, paperthin walls

  • 4.2
    Guest rating

The room was shabby and had a stale smell to it. The floor was grubby and bath fittings were rusting. The so-called continental breakfast was threadbare and just one look and we filed out for breakfast at another place.

  • 6.6
    Good

The Cost was right and the continental breakfast was good. The staff were polite.

The pillows were flat and room was older and questionably clean.
